New Music Friday – 9/18/15

18Sep15

Once again, here are some new releases to look out for this week! (Note: I use Google Play, not iTunes, thus why sometimes these may be a week later or not entirely “new”).

In Return (Deluxe) by Odesza: This album was pretty awesome when it originally came out last year. Great, chill electronic music/beats with solid vocals is what you’ll find here. As a bonus, the deluxe edition (free with most streaming subs) has 31 songs and instrumental versions of everything.

La Di Da Di by Battles: Battles is a great, quirky experimental rock project.  This is their third record and I was a huge fan of their debut.  Crazy instrumentation and time signatures usually await with Battles and this one has reviewed positively.

GO:OD AM by Mac Miller: Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller is usually a fun time.  New record from him today.  I’ll definitely be checking it out.

Higher Truth by Chris Cornell: Chris Cornell has had some missteps in his career, despite his legendary status. However, the last Soundgarden album was real solid and Cornell as a solo artist hasn’t failed to disappoint. Let’s hope that continues.

Honeymoon by Lana Del Ray: Ultra Violence was a shaky record, but Lana Del Ray is back. I’m looking forward to seeing if she can break out of her same old shtick on this one.

That is my highlights for this week.  Happy listening.

Here is my latest 3×3:
